■ Profile

A pop pianist active mainly on YouTube. His videos have been viewed over 150 million times on YouTube, and he has 600,000 subscribers (as of September 2020). His catchphrase is "A piano player with perfect pitch who loves meat."

I work as a "pop pianist" to break the image of pianists being stiff. I try to play in a way that expresses emotion rather than technique, and my theme is to be empathetic. I am conscious of looking directly into the camera, giving fans the feeling of eye contact, or rather, a sense of excitement, and I also incorporate elements that make them a little surprised.

■Message to university students

I believe that self-branding is about continuing to get to know yourself. Branding is difficult if you have a vague understanding of yourself, such as "cheerful" or "active." For example, there are many different types of "healing." Try to analyze what kind of person you are on a detailed level. Don't be afraid to get to know yourself, and ask others how they see you.
