■What are the characteristics of the current IT industry?

IT is permeating all areas, from business to daily life, and its use is increasing. Furthermore, due to the impact of the pandemic, IT is becoming more important than ever, with the need for contactless services increasing. Furthermore, in order to respond quickly to the rapidly changing social situation, various companies are promoting the adoption of digital technology, and demand is increasing.
In addition, efforts that combine IT with various fields are becoming more popular. For example, in our "IT x Healthcare" initiative, we are developing and providing new services and solutions, such as research and development to find signs of disease before they appear, and devices attached to clothing that can measure vital signs in real time, with the aim of extending healthy lifespans.

■What kind of students are you looking for?

We are looking for students who can learn from experience and put it to good use, and students who value teamwork. Any experience is fine, whether it was a part-time job or a club, but it is important to communicate with confidence and enthusiasm what you learned from your experience and how you can put it to good use. Furthermore, it doesn't matter whether the experience was a success or failure. What is important is why you undertook that process, what you learned from it, and how you can use it next time.
In addition, we form teams within our company to solve our customers' problems. Therefore, we value teamwork and require personnel who can put the customer first. In this respect, it is also important to be able to communicate your ideas enthusiastically to others.

■Please give us a message for university students

Don't be anxious or hesitant just because you don't have an information-related background. IT is needed by society in a wide range of fields, and its possibilities are endless. However, knowing what you want to do and having the desire to learn and grow is essential. I want to work with people who want to change the world, where daily life has changed dramatically due to the effects of COVID-19, and who want to contribute to customers.
