■Please tell us what made you start acting.

I was scouted when I was in junior high school, and the word "entertainment industry" was on my mind, so when I decided I wanted a change of scenery in high school, I started working in the entertainment industry.
At the time, I was keenly aware of the difficulty of acting, but I was balancing it with my studies. After graduating from high school, I was able to get over a lot of things and focus on work, and I started to face my work with the determination to "just do my best." In particular, with the drama "Class 3A," I was able to create a work with people my age for the first time, and along with the enjoyment of that, I developed a strong desire not to lose, which made me put even more effort into my acting.

■Please tell us what you keep in mind when acting.

For me, acting is a test of how far I can go. The points to express change depending on the role, so I imagine them and create the role each time. What I particularly value is "expressing small emotions." I pay attention to things like eye movements and changes in facial expressions, and try to express things that only I can.
I am working hard to make this possible.
I think my strength is my naturalness, so I want to be someone who can charm people with my natural self and make them think, "If Kamio Fuju is in it, I'll watch it." To achieve that, I think the most important thing is to first enjoy acting. If I can do that, I think I will be able to become someone who naturally attracts people's attention.

■Please give us a message for university students

I know that adults may have to say something, but I want you to think about yourself first.
Because it's your life, you should prioritize what you want to do and who you want to become.
Things may not always go well, but remember to always put yourself first.
