"Seishun Cinderella" production announcement press conference ~Kumada Rinka and Honda Kiyoya~

Actress and model Rinka Kumada (non-no exclusive model) will star in the October drama "Youth CinderellaA production press conference was held ahead of the start of broadcasting on Sunday, October 16th.
In addition to the lead actress, Rinka Kumada, the press conference was also attended by Kyoya Honda, a promising young actor currently active in dramas, movies and stage plays, who plays the role of the protagonist's bitter first love in this film.
"Youth Cinderella" is based on an original story by Yu Nozomu Sensei, which has recorded a total of 7000 million page views on the digital manga app "Manga Mee" operated by Shueisha Margaret Comics. It is a coming-of-age drama about a woman who travels back in time 12 years and transforms into a 17-year-old high school student to put an end to her miserable first love, but it is also a love story that will resonate with adult women.
At the press conference, we spoke in a friendly atmosphere about the atmosphere on set and their love lives.

Rinka Kumada
She plays the main character, Shion, a 29-year-old beauty consultant with a mature air about her, and a naive 17-year-old high school student.
The uniform is the same as the one worn by the beauty consultants who actually work at Shiseido's Beauty Square, so it feels like you've really entered the world of the show. I'm happy to have had the chance to experience the job I've always dreamed of.
When I play the plain high school student Shion, I'll be wearing no makeup, more than I've ever worn before (laughs). At first I was worried, but I empathized with the character in the original work who becomes more positive when she puts on makeup, so I want to express that change well.
Shion grows from being rejected by her first love. The turning point in the story is the confession. If I were the one confessing, I would want to look her in the eye and tell her straight out, "I love you." If I could do that, I'd give myself 150 points.
I believe that gaining confidence can pave the way for your life. It was because of the path you chose that you were able to reach a truly important path. I want to convey the message that what you chose was not a mistake. Don't miss the heart-fluttering scenes where the distance between you and Hasegawa-kun is frustrating. Enjoy the excitement from Shion's perspective!

Honda Kiyoya
I am happy to be playing the role of Hasegawa Souma this time, but as this is a Cinderella story set in the heart of youth, I wanted the people watching the film from behind the camera to be thrilled, so I kept that in mind as I approached filming.
When filming began and I saw the uniform costume, I thought it would be flashy because it consisted of a denim shirt and a blue cardigan, but when I saw it on film it looked great so I was glad I chose this costume.
The character I play, Hasegawa-kun, is a lone wolf, but I'm the type who likes to have fun with friends, so I don't think our characters are similar (laughs).
If I were to confess my feelings, I would like to tell the person face to face rather than on social media.
The main character is a "woman in her late 20s," a generation known as "adult women," and I believe there are many who are living with memories of their youth as students, as well as regrets and trauma from the past. I hope that a wide range of people, including adult women who have experienced adolescence, and students in the midst of their youth, will watch the film and deliver many heart-pounding moments.
