Super Party 2022

"Super Party 2022' was held at Saitama Super Arena on Saturday, October 15th and Sunday, October 16th, 2022.
"Cho Party" is Niconico's largest live event, bringing together creators who create music in a variety of genres, including Vocaloid, singing, dancing, and playing.
Student newspaper interns had the opportunity to experience the event.

This was my first time attending Super Party, which was held four years ago. Even though I'm not a fan, I enjoyed the music and the other guests. The performances that particularly impressed me were by Soshina and Rainbow Samurai. While you'd think Soshina would sing, he didn't, instead relying solely on background music and facial expressions. The humorous title, background music, and song selection were all very entertaining. Rainbow Samurai's performance also saw him improvise a song based on a theme from a comment that was played on the spot. Not only was Rainbow Samurai's vocal talent impressive, but he also improvised a song related to the theme, which both surprised and moved me. The other performers also gave fantastic performances, and we, the audience, were able to fully enjoy the music, bringing the entire venue together and having a truly fulfilling time. The Super Party, held for the first time in four years, was full of surprises and excitement.

Creators from a variety of genres, including "singing" and "dancing," appeared one after another, and the audience was overwhelmed by their unique performances. Songs of various genres were performed on stage, from nostalgic songs to songs that are currently popular on social media.

I felt the history of Nico Nico Douga and the people involved, and it was emotional, as I remembered the songs I was passionate about in elementary and middle school, and the presence of performers I was singing with for the first time in 12 years. The passion and emotion of not only the performers and audience in person, but also those watching online was constantly conveyed through the comments projected on the screen, making it an event that made me feel glad that I fell in love with Nico Nico.

We weren't able to do this at this year's Super Party, but next time I hope we can all cheer and get the whole party excited.

To sum up my impressions in one word, I felt that "everything was a work of art." This was my first time participating, but I think that CHO PARTY 2022 is a place where not only are all the booths connected, but you can also connect with the world through the internet.

Comments from live viewers were displayed in real time on the live stage. This meant that not only the audience but everyone watching the stage was able to join in on the excitement. This is a world that can only be experienced on Niconico.

It was especially impressive how every minute and second of the transition was transformed into laughter and emotion thanks to the viewers' comments. The scene about the frosted glass and the exchange between Rainbow Samurai Zuma and Yuyuta were fantastic. I think that was the moment when everyone's smiles reached their peak.

Also, at the live concert, not only could you hear the vocals of a Vocaloid and the dandy singing voice of a 75-year-old, but you could also hear improvised songs and "the song that plays in your head when you lose gambling with money you shouldn't have spent," so I thought it was an event that anyone could enjoy.

There was also a mystery solving game set up at the venue, and we were able to enjoy singing, dancing, drawing, eating, and more at the booths. This mystery was quite difficult to solve (lol).

I would like to participate again next year and cheer louder and get excited.
