We talked about her approach to her work and her first attempt at an action movie."BAD CITY"We asked about this.

Longing for the world of television
I'm from Kumamoto Prefecture, and growing up, my only exposure to entertainment was through television. I was such a TV fanatic that I could tell which day of the week a drama was on by the time it aired. You could even say television reigned over my life (laughs). So, I began to have a vague dream of entering the world of television, which I loved so much. At age 13, I asked my mother to help me apply for a nationwide audition with Amuse, the company I'm currently affiliated with. That's how I got started in my current job. I was fortunate enough to win an award, and that's how I got signed to Amuse. However, I stayed in my hometown until high school, basically leading a normal high school life. I moved to Tokyo for university and began working full-time. I studied video media and other subjects, many of which were directly related to my work, so I had a lot of fun. I was also blessed with great professors and friends. Still, balancing my studies and work was not easy, especially in my senior year. As my work life became busier, including my reporting for "King's Brunch" and appearing on TV dramas, I also had to submit my graduation thesis and earn the required credits for my senior year. I remember opening Word on my smartphone and writing reports during my commute to work (laughs). I was able to get through it thanks to the help and encouragement of people around me, including my friends, professors, and office staff. I was very grateful, and it was nice to experience the warmth of others.
This job involves getting people to watch the footage I've shot, so I'm happy and feel rewarded when I get feedback from people who have seen it. In particular, it's most encouraging when my family watches me at home after I appear in a commercial or on terrestrial TV and tells me I'm doing a great job. I'm also very grateful when I receive feedback from fans through social media, and when a new commercial starts, they sometimes find out about it and report it to me before I do.

First action movie"BAD CITY"
I will be appearing this time"BAD CITY"Set in a crime-ridden city, the story follows a secretly formed special investigation team's struggle to confront a huge conglomerate and the Korean mafia, which is in cahoots with the conglomerate and commits all sorts of evil. I play Nohara, a rookie member of the special investigation team. As it's an action movie, the highlights are, of course, the action and fight scenes. Don't miss the continuous, almost-blinking scenes, but I also hope you'll enjoy the individual personalities of each character and the passionate portrayal of human relationships. Nohara starts out as a rookie detective, incompetent and constantly getting told off, but a certain incident leads to his growing strength and maturity.
This was my first action movie, and I was filming alongside a cast of renowned actors, learning a lot on set, so I think there are some similarities between Nohara and me. When I made my debut, I did some action scenes as the heroine in the special effects film "Ultraman X." I had a vague feeling that action was fun, so I wanted to appear in an action film and started taking private lessons. Just as I was thinking about what to do next, I auditioned for this film and was offered the role. It was a good timing for my feelings and the job to match, and I was happy to be involved in an action film sooner than I expected. In preparation for the role, I took action lessons three times a week. The director places a high emphasis on speed and tempo, and unlike the action I had learned up until then, I realized that action has many different styles and is a deep subject. Meanwhile, two days before filming began, I dislocated my ankle during practice. I had to wear tape during the actual action scenes, but it was quite painful and difficult. However, the action team members taped me up so I wouldn't get hurt, and the lead actor, Ozawa Hitoshi, spoke to me, so I was reminded once again of how much people helped me. The set had a bit of a Showa-era vibe, with a feeling of "physical strength, willpower, and guts" that's hard to find in today's world, but I'm glad I had the experience. It was a wonderful set, full of fun and, above all, everyone loved movies.

Cherish what you love
I think it's okay to have lots of interests and things you want to do. And I think it's good to be vocal about your passions and passions. In fact, I wanted to do action, so I trained and prepared for it, and I think I was connected to this project because I was vocal about that. I also mentioned in interviews that I like alcohol, which led to me appearing on a show called "Let's Drink at a Local Chinese Restaurant," where we introduce local Chinese restaurants while drinking. I kept saying I love my hometown, and now I'm a radio personality on a show where we talk over local alcohol. It's simple, but when people know that I like this or that, they'll reach out to me. The reason I started this job was because I wanted to be on TV, and I've realized that what I love leads to my work. That's why I value working on things that I enjoy and love.
I would like to do more action roles in the future. I would be happy if my name was to be considered for an action movie. Also, I really love my hometown and would like to return there regularly, so it would be great if I could get a regular role there (laughs). I will do my best to make myself known in Kumamoto as well.

Message to university students
Being a university student may be busy, but I think it's a time when how you use your time is up to you. I hope you will challenge yourself to master the things that interest you and that you love. At the same time, because there are so many choices in life, I think it's also a time when you worry about many things. But being able to worry means you have a choice. As long as you're not feeling reluctant, taking positive action will likely lead to a better life.
