On Thursday, January 19th, a talk event entitled "Getting to Know Uzbekistan" was held at Kanda Myojin Hall (located in Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) by Zeon Investment Trust Co., Ltd. (CEO: Kazuyuki Yamamoto), the only Japanese company offering real estate investment in Uzbekistan.
At the beginning of the event, CEO Kazuyuki Yamamoto, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan Muksinkja Abdurrahmonov, and Representative of Tashkent City Hall in Japan/Director of the Nagoya Uzbekistan Friendship Association Ibiragimov Bunyodbek also took to the stage to give greetings and share Uzbekistan's passion.

Starting in Singapore when I was 21 years old, I have been watching the economy and growth of Southeast Asia for about 40 years.
While traveling in Malaysia, I had the opportunity to come into contact with overseas businesses and real estate, which made me realize the importance of foreign investors supporting countries in various ways. Since then, I've been keeping an eye out for the next major growth power, and that's where I discovered Uzbekistan. With the start of trade liberalization, Uzbekistan has become known as a crossroads of the Silk Road and is attracting global attention as a manufacturing hub. Factories from various countries, including 3800 companies from Russia, are operating there, producing products such as auto parts and home appliances. While its per capita GDP is half that of Vietnam, it shares similarities with other growing countries, including a growing population, rising inflation, a growing youth population, and a high GDP growth rate. Urbanization has attracted people from overseas, leading to rising prices and the opening of KFC and Starbucks restaurants. Land prices have also increased five to ten times, and bank interest rates are at 20%, attracting attention from overseas investors. Driven by a desire to provide opportunities for Japanese people, I began creating a system that allows Japanese people to invest in real estate with confidence. We have also decided to participate in an urban development project, and we hope to further deepen exchanges between Uzbekistan and Japan.

Both Japan and Uzbekistan warm my heart. Uzbekistan is still a young country, having gained independence only 32 years ago, but 60% of its population of 35 million are young people under the age of 30, and with the recent change in president, the country is focusing on building a new Uzbekistan.

Mr. Bunyodbek Ibiragimov, Director of the Nagoya Uzbekistan Friendship Association
I think Uzbekistan is the most pro-Japanese country in the world. At the same time, there are few Japanese companies, so I would be happy if we could deepen exchanges and collaborations at the private sector level. The best way to learn is to see and experience it with your own eyes, so I would like to start by helping people learn about Uzbekistan.

At the event, it was announced that the talent Hideyuki Nakayama, affectionately known as "Hide-chan," and the teen influencer Neo had been appointed as Uzbekistan One-Day PR Ambassadors.

When you hear Uzbekistan, you might imagine it as a war-torn region, but through this quiz I learned that it is actually a rich and peaceful country with beautiful architecture and a diverse ethnic population. The Uzbek national costume that I wore this time was very beautiful with intricate decorations, and the traditional dishes were so luxurious that they would not be suitable for everyday use.
I have been a tourism ambassador for Gunma Prefecture for many years, and we share the commonality of being inland, so I felt a sense of affinity with the prefecture.
Being selected as a one-day PR ambassador for Uzbekistan allowed me to learn that Uzbekistan is a wonderful country with many wonderful tourist destinations, is safe, and is attracting attention from investors.

■Influencer Neo
When I heard the name Uzbekistan, I also thought of war, but today's quiz completely changed that image!
The president gave me lots of hints, and the ceramic Uzbek Uncle ornament was so cute that I plan to display it at home.
The traditional buildings in Uzbekistan were also very beautiful with a light blue color, and it made me want to actually go to Uzbekistan and take lots of photos.
It was a lot of fun to learn a little about the country of Uzbekistan.
