■The appeal of Tokyo Girls Collection

Among the various fashion shows, TGC has always had the impression of being the place where the "models that come to mind" appear, so I was very nervous when I made my first appearance. Although I've sung on the same stage before, the runway felt completely different, and I was at a loss, thinking, "Huh... what should I do...?" Even now, when I stand on such a big stage, I feel like I want to pick up a microphone and sing, but since that's not an option anymore, I'm taking on the challenge as a model, with the desire to respond to the feelings of my fans. I walked the runway, looking for the fans that everyone had worked so hard to make and looking at their faces, wanting to cherish this opportunity to meet my fans.

■ What is the existence of fans?

The COVID-19 pandemic has made me realize that being able to meet my fans is not something to be taken for granted. I've once again come to realize how important they are to me, as they provide me with mental support and help me feel more confident. I share my love with them like family, and I'm incredibly grateful that they've spent their precious time in life as my fans.

■ Future dreams and goals

I'm a curious person, so I want to keep trying anything I can. As long as music is where I ultimately return to, I want to keep moving forward while taking on various challenges and keep looking for new things. I don't always set goals for where I want to be in a certain number of years, but I value being able to firmly grasp the opportunities that come my way. I want to keep striving to improve, always being aware that I want to be the person who can grasp any opportunity that comes my way. I often worry because music is my only love, but the opportunities I've been given elsewhere are increasingly connecting to music, so I want to keep working hard.

■Message to university students

Having been a university student myself, I believe that university is also a place where you learn to build relationships. I have the impression that many of the friends and teachers you meet at university are people with whom you have the potential to work together later on. In fact, I have had the opportunity to work with my university classmates and seniors since graduating. So, although studying is hard and you will have to look for a job, I hope you will cherish the relationships you form and spend your four years here until the very end. These relationships will be a treasure for the future. Enjoy your university life.
