■What is the Student Newspaper Film Award?
A contest to select "Movies that college students want to watch again" was established in 2023.

■ Overview
(the purpose)
1. Communicate the value and greatness of movies to university students.
② Inform people involved in film production about movies that are popular among university students.

Student Newspaper Film Awards Executive Committee

(Each award)
Best Actor and Best Actress (2 each), Best Young Actor (1 male and 1 female under 25), Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Theme Song, Special Award (Business Manager Award)

■ Award recipients
Japanese feature films of 60 minutes or more that were shown for the first time in the Tokyo area for a fee during the applicable period and were shown in the same theater for two or more consecutive weeks.

■ Selection method
Student newspaper interns (approximately 50 people) selected the 10 nominated works.
A survey was conducted among 200 university students from the nominated works and the results were compiled.
*The special award will be awarded through a survey of business managers.

■Applicable period (award ceremony)
1st Session: January 1st to June 30th, 2023 (October 2023)
2st Session: January 7st to June 31th, 2023 (October 2024)
3st Session: January 1st to June 30th, 2024 (October 2024)　　
Since then, it has been held twice a year in the same manner.
The awards will be presented at the student newspaper launch party.

The first event will be held on October 17, 2023.
