Dell Technologies Inc. has been running a business contest since March 7, 2023, to support female entrepreneurs who are using technology as a way to grow their businesses.Dell Women Entrepreneurs Business Competition 2023The final results were announced at The Grand GINZA on July 12th.
We spoke to the finalists, who are active female entrepreneurs.
About DWEN
DWEN (Dell Women's Entrepreneur Network) is a network of female entrepreneurs run by Dell Technologies as part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities to support female entrepreneurs. With over 8 female entrepreneurs participating from around the world, the network promotes mutual growth and creates new business opportunities. Launched in Japan in 2017, DWEN currently has 800 registered members and hosts networking events, support and innovation pitches, and more.
The initiative aims to provide a forum for female entrepreneurs from around the world to interact with each other, build a business network, and grow together while creating new business opportunities. The final results of the contest, based on the number of votes, are as follows, and Dell products worth a total of 500 million yen were awarded as prizes.
1st Place: Mie Murai, Space Co., Ltd.

The problems facing the logistics industry are perceived differently from those faced by the general public, so I was attracted to the fact that this contest is open to public voting and decided to apply.
While the harsh working conditions of truck drivers are being improved through legal reforms, there is still the issue of packages not being delivered. To solve this problem, we have developed a logistics industry support service. We are very pleased that so many people have recognized this issue, which is linked to a social problem.
2nd Place: Haruna Morikawa, Ongrid Holdings Co., Ltd.
I applied because I felt we had something in common with Dell, in that we are both using technology to create jobs and promote digital transformation.
The business we announced this time involves developing robots that promote digital transformation on-site while also carrying out infrastructure inspection work, as well as developing tools that can be used by people with no experience. In the future, we would like to work even harder to expand our bases nationwide.

3rd Place: Ikumi Narii, Inter Holdings Co., Ltd.

Our company's theme is "Bringing Japanese technology to the world," so we decided to apply because we really sympathized with the objectives of this contest.
The vacuum patent technology we announced this time is a business that can solve the issues of global warming and food waste. I believe that this is a technology that can aim for global use in the future, so I would like to continue to make progress in the future.
