37th Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2023 AUTUMN/WINTER ~Midsummer Cinderella~

The 37st Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2023 AUTUMN/WINTER was held at Saitama Super Arena on Saturday, September 2th, 2023.
The theme this time is "INFINITY," which means infinity.

The currently popular drama series "Midsummer Cinderella" (Fuji TV, Monday 9pm) cast members Mori Nana, Kamio Fuju, Hagiwara Riku, Shirahama Alan, Nimura Sawa, and Mizukami Koji appeared on stage.

We spoke to six cast members about the highlights of the film, which is finally reaching its climax.

■Please tell us your impressions of walking down the runway.

Shirahama: I usually have a lot of experience performing on stage as an artist, but I don't often get the chance to walk the runway, so it was fun to be able to participate with everyone in the cast as part of the drama team. I was always sticking close to Toshihisa (Hagiwara) (laughs).

Hagiwara: Yes, I did (laughs). I think walking down the runway in this outfit is an experience I'll never have again, so it's become a wonderful summer memory.

Mori: I was really nervous. My heart was beating faster than I normally feel... I was a little worried about whether I was okay.

Hagiwara: No, it was perfect!

Shirahama: The runway (where Mori was walking) looked like the seaside.

Mori-san: I'm happy because the theme was "the sea"!

Kamio: My impression was that it was dazzling. The light from the lights was physical (laughs).

Shirahama: It's because you're not wearing contacts!

Kamio: I forgot. I should have put in my contacts.

Nimura: But it ended so quickly. I feel a little sad now.

Mizukami: Walking down the runway in this outfit was definitely a valuable experience. I never thought I'd actually be walking in that outfit (laughs). It's a really good memory.

Shirahama: I think that Mamoru, the character I play, has taken a step back from romance at the moment, but there may be some turbulence from now on, so I hope you will watch until the end. His friendship with Osamu is also one of the highlights. Please pay attention not only to the romances of each character, but also to the friendship between the men.

Hagiwara: In the second half, there are many scenes with my character Osamu, Mamoru, and Airi, and I feel that the love triangle will be a highlight until the very end. In fact, filming was often done separately, so even we don't know what's happening in other scenes. I'm looking forward to watching it at the same time as the viewers when it airs.

Mori: This is the first classic love story in seven years, so I hope we can all stay together with the viewers until the very end and make 2023 the best summer ever!

Kamio: Takumi and Natsumi's relationship as childhood friends is one step ahead of Kento's presence, but I hope you'll pay attention to how things will develop from here. Please watch until the end as Takumi tries his best little by little, despite his clumsiness.

Nimura: I think the story of Risa, the character I play, has developed at an incredible speed from the first episode, but she has a strong will and makes the decisions that are necessary for her. I would be happy if you could support her decisions until the end.

Mizukami: Risa and Sosuke are in a somewhat mature relationship (laughs). I hope you enjoy the thrilling and suspenseful nature of the various love stories.

■Finally, please give us a message for university students.

Mizukami-san: Don't attend lectures in sandals! This is a lesson I learned when I appeared at TGC in sandals.

Shirahama-san: That's what we're talking about today! (laughs)

Nimura: But I think being a university student is like the summer vacation of your life. So isn't it important to encounter all kinds of different things?

Kamio: I hope people will find a hobby and do as many things as they like. I don't really have a particular hobby yet, so when I see people who are devoted to their hobbies, I think it's wonderful.

Shirahama: Fuju, let's find a hobby from now on!

Mizukami: I feel that the dedication I had to baseball during my student days is being put to good use in my current job.

Hagiwara: Everyone who works hard at something is cool.

Mori: I hope you have lots of fun, find things you like, and spend your time freely and having fun!
