March 2, 2024 (Saturday) at the National Yoyogi Stadium First Gymnasium38th Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2024 SPRING/SUMMER' was held.
The theme of this edition is "A Profusion of Flowers." The moment when all the flowers bloom together is a dreamlike moment that also harbors a sense of transience. With the arrival of spring, we spoke with model and talent Wang Lin, one of the many splendid performers at Mynavi TGC 2024 S/S.

About TGC
Entering the venue filled with people, I was reminded that "this support and excitement gives us energy too." We could see the fans' cheers and fans from surprisingly far away from the stage, so we were able to enjoy them while walking down the runway.
■About the job
In my modeling work, I want to convey a different charm to the one I show on variety shows. For example, my height. I'm often sitting on TV, so not many people know this, but I'm actually 170cm tall. So when I work as a model, I try to present myself in a way that will help tall people like me to be confident about their height and also serve as inspiration for their outfits.
One of the driving forces behind my hard work is my strong desire to promote my hometown of Aomori and make it better known. I work hard, hoping that people will learn about me through my work and become interested in Aomori. When things get tough, I fall into a roller coaster-like depression, but I try to make a strong recovery. I hit the lowest point as fast as I can, then motivate myself by saying, "What am I doing? This can't be good!" Also, being in Aomori relieves stress, so I try to go back there as often as possible, even when I'm busy. When I'm in my hometown, I feel natural and I can feel the love from those around me. That gives me strength and makes me want to keep working hard.
I also try to always be aware of "why I am doing this job." I am the type of person who is more energized when I am working for something rather than for myself, so I always keep in mind the goal of "for my hometown, Aomori." This gives me a lot of ideas and helps me come up with more and more things I want to do.
Going forward, I would like to continue to convey the stylish, cool, and cute image of Aomori that I have seen, rather than the old image of it being "uncool because it's the countryside." I have also recently started a musical career, so I would like to focus on that as well. My dream is to eventually hold a music festival in Aomori!
■ Message
It's amazing that there are people who still want to do something when there is so much material and information out there. I also hope that even those who don't feel that way will be exposed to a variety of things and broaden their horizons. I believe we live in an age where anyone can do anything. I hope that you will believe in yourself and run towards a new and exciting future.
