Hiroki Tominaga x Curry Brand contract announcement press conference

Dome Corporation (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yoshinori Kitajima), the exclusive distributor of Under Armour in Japan, held a press conference to announce the contract between Hiroki Tominaga and the Curry Brand at UNDER ARMOUR BRAND HOUSE Shinjuku on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
Curry BrandStephen Curry holds the record for most three-point shots made in his career.
It is the signature brand of the Golden State Warriors and is engaged in social activities that embody Curry's vision of "CHANGE THE GAME FOR GOOD" (creating equal opportunities for young people around the world to enjoy sports).
Tominaga, a promising young player who will lead the Japanese basketball world for the next generation, is currently based in the US, the birthplace of basketball, and is aiming to play in the professional league. To help him achieve his dream, he has become the fourth athlete to sign a contract with the Curry brand, following Stephen Curry, De'Aaron Fox, and Mirasia Fulwile, and the first player from outside the US to do so.
At the press conference, after the signing ceremony, we spoke to him about how the contract came about, his expectations for the brand, and his future prospects.

■Dome Corporation Representative Director Yoshinori Kitajima
I am very excited to announce the contract between Tominaga and the Curry brand. At Under Armour, we have an underdog spirit (a person with no chance of winning who climbs up to win), and I was moved by the way Tominaga bravely faced off against larger American players, and I felt that spirit. Furthermore, Tominaga participated in the Curry events held in Japan in 2018 and 2019, and our relationship has deepened. I am delighted that we are able to announce this contract. I would like to continue supporting Tominaga so that he can continue to be successful on the world stage.
■ Hiroki Tominaga
When I heard about the contract, I was very honored to be with the brand of Curry, the player I respect the most, and I was filled with a sense of disbelief and happiness. Curry is like a god to me. He is a player I respect and have imitated, including his three-point shots and his performance during games, and as a player who rose to the top of the NBA after a late bloomer, I would like to emulate his underdog spirit of persevering and never giving up.
I will also work hard to grow the brand around the world, striving to achieve our brand mission of "CHANGE THE GAME FOR GOOD." Just as Curry has done for me, I want to be someone who can give hope to people who play basketball. As I work toward my dream of becoming an NBA player, I will first focus on the upcoming Paris Olympics, and hope to play against Curry on the court in the future.
Until three years ago, I never thought something like this would happen. I think the most important thing is to have a dream, and if you have a dream and keep chasing it, the results will follow, so I hope that young people will first set a goal and then work hard towards it.
