About TGC

It's always exciting, but this time it was at Saitama Super Arena, so it felt even bigger. There were so many people upstairs, so I felt like I was walking down the runway with everyone watching over me, which helped to ease my tension and put me at ease.
When I perform at TGC, I often hear comments from people who have seen my performance, such as "I think I could wear these clothes well even though I'm short" or "I can find fashion that suits me even though I'm small," which gives me courage. It's a place where I can get power!

■ Job satisfaction

Now that I've graduated from being an idol, I've been given the opportunity to work as an actor. Up until now, I've worked hard, of course, but I think I've often been told that I'm the type of person who just gets things done smoothly. However, recently I've had many moments where I've hit a wall in my work. This has motivated me to study more, and I've started thinking about how I can bring out my own style among so many actors of my generation. It's precisely because it's difficult that I find it rewarding.
I think the reason I've been able to work for so long is because I hate to lose. Right now, I'm having a lot of fun at work. I want to keep working hard until I can enjoy my work and feel satisfied.
Of course, it's not all fun and there are times when it feels like a lot of work, but cooking is surprisingly refreshing. When I'm cooking, I'm concentrating on what I'm making, so I don't have to think about anything else. Recently, I made hamburger steaks! I wanted to make something delicious, so I bought some good quality domestic meat, and when I cooked it, it turned out really tasty, so I was really happy. (laughs)

■What I want to challenge in the future

Now that filming for the drama is over, I have some free time, so I'm thinking of using this time to focus on taking acting lessons and voice training. I often get compliments on my voice, so I'd like to try working as a voice actor someday. As an actor, I often get active, bright, and energetic characters, so I'd like to break away from that image by playing a character who is extremely serious and speaks in a low voice.

■Message to students

Looking back, my student days were so much fun. There were difficult times, but there was definitely a joy that could only be experienced at that time. I hope you make the most of every day.
