The theme for this year's event is "A STEP FORWARD." A STEP FORWARD signifies the start of a new adventure or challenge. TGC is filled with the excitement of discovering a new you.
With the arrival of autumn, Mynavi TGC 2024 A/W will feature a variety of gorgeous performers, including the comedy duo GunbarelyaWe spoke to Nomahiru and Yoshiko.

A dream dance show on the glamorous TGC stage

Yoshiko: I thought it was a very glamorous world. The cheers from the audience when we stood on stage were amazing, and everyone was so lively and warm-hearted, it felt like we were all having a great time together.

Mahiru: TGC is a stage that everyone dreams of performing on. It has been my childhood dream to dance on the TGC stage. That's why I entered this world, so I'm happy that my dream has come true.

Yoshiko: If that's the case, it's a long way around. (laughs) I was so happy to be able to dance to s**t kingz's choreography this time, and it was so much fun. I danced in pairs with K from &TEAM, and he was so cool and his face was so small, he was like a being from another dimension, so even though he was close, he seemed so far away. Dancing with him was like a dream.

Mahiru: I was really happy to be able to dance on the TGC stage with choreography by s**t kingz, who are a group that every dancer aspires to be like. I was paired with Kato Ryo, and no matter how far apart we were, we always felt close to each other. He's such a glamorous person that you'd know it was Ryo no matter where he was. I learned a lot from dancing with him, and even his facial expressions showed his professionalism.

■The charm of Ganbareruya is their "good friendship" - is it at a genetic level?

Mahiru: We've been together since our last life. In our last life, we were a married couple running a traveling circus, and we were said to have been identical twins in our past lives, so in this life we're a pair. We're so close that when we did a DNA test on a TV show, we found that we have a compatibility of over 99%, something that only happens between sisters, and it was scientifically proven.
Above all, we respect each other. I just love him so much. I want to keep doing fun things with him.

Yoshiko: We've been living together ever since we met, 13 years ago. I really respect him and I love him. Also, his sense of humor is like an elementary school kid's. (Laughs) That's another thing we get along well with.

■What is your driving force behind bringing laughter?

Mahiru: People who watched the show and fans who support us send us warm messages every day saying things like "It was funny" or "Seeing you two cheered me up," and when I see that, I feel glad that we worked so hard, and it motivates me to keep working hard so that we can bring more laughter to people.　　　
I am very happy that my childhood dream of becoming a comedian has come true. Through my work, I have had wonderful encounters and have been able to experience many jobs that I would not have been able to do if I had not become a comedian.
Being a comedian is a different job every day, and I believe it is a job that is possible only because of the connections you make with the people you meet along the way.

Yoshiko: Ma-chan often suggests things to me, like "Yocchan, what do you think about this?" and works hard for me. That's why I want to make Ma-chan laugh and be of help to her. It's thanks to Ma-chan that I've been able to continue as a comedian up until now.

Yoshiko: Students can do anything from now on. So do what you love! (laughs)

Mahiru: Tomorrow doesn't matter, just live your life to the fullest now! (laughs)
