■Please tell us about the characteristics of your business.
USEN & U-NEXT GROUP is a corporate group consisting of the holding company U-NEXT HOLDINGS and 29 affiliated operating companies, including USEN and U-NEXT. Originally founded in 1961 as a store background music company called "Cable Music Broadcasting," the company now operates across a wide range of businesses, including content distribution, store and facility solutions, communications and energy, finance, real estate, and global businesses.
In all our businesses, our group always shares the common goal of "solving social issues."
I have many opportunities to come into direct contact with the lives of our customers, and I feel a sense of accomplishment when I realize that I am helping someone. I will continue to work closely with our customers as I go forward.
■Please tell us the type of student you are looking for
We are involved in a variety of businesses, so we are looking for people who are curious and can look at things from multiple perspectives.
It's also good to be able to use what you've cultivated up until now as a foundation and continue to change from there. People who can change are interested in a wide range of things, so they're highly sensitive to information and have integrity.
During interviews, we look not only at what people say, but also at their "natural side," such as their personality and facial expressions. The key is how well you can express your "true self," rather than whether or not you have the skills. As you engage in job hunting, I believe that by deepening your understanding of your true self through repeated dialogue and introspection, your perspective and outlook will change, allowing you to grasp the true intention of questions that are not superficial.
Also, people who are conscious of taking action quickly in their daily lives will grow quickly.
■Message to students
I think job hunting is like matching students with companies. There will be many difficulties until you get a job offer, but I hope you will enjoy the process, learn about companies and society, and show a lively presence at the interview. Also, it is important to value conversations with family, friends, and those around you, and use the opportunity to look back on your life and find your true self.
