The stage play "Bit World THE STAGE" opened on Friday, July 4th, 2025.
"Bit World," a children's program currently airing on NHK Educational TV, began airing in 2007 and is a popular program that celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, including its predecessor, "Tensai Bit-kun." Set in the digital world of "Bit World," this unique and imaginative program has been loved for many years and is now finally making its debut as a stage play, "Bit World THE STAGE."
It will be performed at Sunshine Theater in Tokyo from Friday, July 4th to Sunday, July 13th, 2025.

The script and overall direction is by SUGARBOY's Kawajiri Keita, and the director is Shiratori Yusuke. The cast includes fellow program cast members Ito Seiko, Kaneko Takatoshi, Nakata Asumi, Yokoyama Daisuke, and Thorsby Cameron, as well as video appearances by Masuno Hidetomo (Bakarhythm). Original cast members for the stage include Ueda Kandai, Koyama Momoyo, and Takahashi Reiya, with a special appearance by Yamato Yuga. The stage will also be livened up by a stellar lineup of daily corner guests, including Asakawa Rina, Masuno Hidetomo (Bakarhythm), Makita Sports, Kosaka Daimaou, and Masuko Atsuki (GENIC).

I recently attended an interview and public dress rehearsal just before the opening of the play "Bit World THE STAGE."

<Greetings from the performers>

■July 4th and 13th Guest: Rina Asakawa
This time, I will be appearing as a guest on the opening and final days.
I am personally very excited to see what all of you have created through repeated practice and practice. I hope to be a fun guest.

Thorsby Cameron as Zorth
There's laughter! There's tears! There's danger! There's battle! It's tough, after about 10 minutes of watching it you'll probably get used to it and think, "Oh, so this is what Bit World is like when it's adapted for the stage." It's tough.
(The other actors said to me, "Wait a minute, are you talking in character?!" and "That's the direction you're going in?!") They're leaving me behind. If you've been playing this role since you were a teenager, you'd be doing ad-libs like this. I just can't do it anymore.
All I want to say is, "Be careful!"

■ Yokoyama Daisuke as Yokoyamaman
Following Zose's example, I said, "When you come to Bit World THE STAGE, you'll understand! It's amazing!" Thank you.

■ Asumi Nakata as Soi/Asmin
I'm Asumi Nakata, and I'll be playing Asumin and Soi.
We all worked hard at practice, united as one team like a club activity. I think it's a production that is truly Bit, so I hope you'll become completely immersed in the world of Bit. Thank you.

■Mirareta role: Takatoshi Kaneko
Since the title is Mirareta the Alien, I play an alien character.
This character has been on Bit World's TV for over a decade, but I never expected that my stage debut would be in this production, playing the role of an alien.
There are a lot of scenes that involve improvisation and unreasonable requests, and what they do is really a mess.
I just hope you enjoy it and laugh, so please look forward to it.

■Yuuga Yamato (special appearance) as Bitran
I will be playing the role of Bitran, an enemy of the Bit World characters, who are all very strong characters.
I am truly honored to be able to appear in the stage adaptation of Bit World's beloved program, which has been running for 25 years.
I will do my best so that I don't lose to everyone. Thank you very much.

■Daigo role: Kandai Ueda
At first, I wondered how the cast, who mainly appear on stage, would be able to blend in and interact with everyone at Bit World, but thanks to Seiko's care, the distance between us has narrowed considerably.
We will be taking good care of Seiko-san during the show, and I think there will be a different way to enjoy it from other plays, so first and foremost we want to enjoy ourselves so that the audience can enjoy it to the fullest. Thank you for your support.

■ Momoyo Koyama as Sumire
As this is an original character for the stage, I hope you will look forward to seeing what kind of personality and character this character has.
We've all been working hard in the heat and practicing to create this show, so I can't wait to share it with you all starting today. There will be different corners every day, so I think each performance will be completely different, so I hope you'll come and see it multiple times. Thank you.

■ Yutaka: Reiya Takahashi
The stage team and the Bit World team have come together to create this play through trial and error in rehearsals. In the end, I believe this Bit World stage play will be completed with the love of the audience. I hope that we can all work together to create something incredibly entertaining. Thank you for your support.

■Master/Seiko role: Seiko Ito
As you explained earlier, I am rarely able to stand in a fixed place or say fixed things properly, so there is always someone behind me telling me, "This is nursing care." Please don't mind if someone whispers to me.
I think it's a fun play, including the suspenseful feeling, and that different interpretations emerge every time we perform it. I hope that everyone will come and see it not just once, but twice or even three times, enjoy it, and spread the word to those around them. Thank you very much.

<Impressions after watching the dress rehearsal>

When I was a child, "Bit World" was my Friday evening entertainment. While watching the show, I often dreamed, "What if I could enter that world..." For me, this "Bit World THE STAGE" was a performance that made that dream come true.
To be honest, I don't remember the details of the setting or the relationships between the characters very well. But I was still able to get into the story naturally. The stage play provides a thorough introduction to the world and characters, and is structured so that even those who haven't seen the show or don't remember the story well can enjoy it without difficulty.
The characters really existed on stage, as if they had jumped out of the screen. The production was full of humor and creativity, typical of the show, and before I knew it, even I, an adult, was transported back to my childhood.
Another highlight is the chemistry between the original stage cast and the audience. It creates an immersive experience that only a stage production can provide, and you won't be able to take your eyes off it until the very end. The "twist" in the latter half of the story took my breath away. The unexpected developments make the story even more interesting.
Above all, I was moved by the way the characters faced difficulties and their belief in their friends. I'm sure you'll feel encouraged after watching the play.
A mysterious and fun "trip to another dimension" where nostalgia and newness coexist. Come experience the "real Bit World" for yourself!

I myself was one of those people who was surprised and had high expectations ever since I saw the information on social media in April 2025 that "NHK Educational TV program Bit World will be adapted into a stage play."
The direction, lighting, and humorous acting of the wonderful cast made us, the audience, feel immersed as if we had jumped into the world of Bit World.
Anyone who has ever watched "Bit World" will be able to empathize with the three original characters from the stage play.
After seeing this production, your perspective on Bit World as broadcast on TV will surely change!
It was a wonderful production that could be enjoyed by people of all ages.
I hope that Bitste will be loved by many people and that the final performance will be successful without anyone missing.
