Stage play "Egujo 2025" ~ A new angel struggles to conquer the world of "girls"! ~

From October 3, 2025 at the Nippon Seinenkan Hall in TokyoStage play "Egujo 2025"has opened.
"Egu Onna," which premiered in 2017, is an omnibus piece based on true stories that portrays the real lives of women, written by Kanazawa Tomoki, who has written the scripts for Sunday Theatre's "Hanzawa Naoki" and many other dramas. The latest stage production, "Egu Onna 2025," is co-written by Nobana Momiji (AOI biotope), and directed by Murakami Daiki, head of the theater company "Sessha Muniere." The male cast plays women, and the extremely "egregious" "women" will make for a relatable omnibus comedy that will have you singing, laughing, and even a little crying!
The cast includes some of today's hottest young actors, including Kihara Rui, Muto Jun (The Fault Lies Within Me), Torikoshi Yuki, Sato Nobunaga, Konan Koji, Kurita Kohei (OCTPATH), and Isono Toru. Not only will they play a variety of women and show off new sides to themselves, but the diverse acting of Makio Yusuke (Kamometaru), Takei Ryosuke, and Nadagi Takeshi is also worth watching.
This time, we covered the dress rehearsal that took place on October 3, 2025, prior to the opening.
■Pay attention to these "nasty women" who are more than just cute! ~Opening comments from the cast~
●Ruu Kihara
"Egujo 2025" is finally opening!
It was a rehearsal period filled with smiles as I experienced both the difficulty and joy of playing a female role. I hope that by watching "Egu Onna," created by all the charming and unique cast members, you can relieve your daily fatigue and find your favorite points. Anyway, the girls will do their best! Please come and enjoy the show at the theater.
●Muto Jun (The cause is in me.)
I'm really looking forward to being able to show off the nasty women that I've created during the rehearsal period.
When I first read the script, I often didn't understand the purpose behind the characters' outrageous actions and words, but after repeated rehearsals, I think the acting has made it easier for people to understand and feel that it's "outrageous."
I feel that thanks to the efforts of all the cast and staff, we were able to create a stage that the audience can enjoy!
I hope that watching this play will make you feel a variety of emotions!
●Torigoe Yuki
I have been practicing intensively for a month.
In the second half of the rehearsal, everyone looked like a woman.
"Egujo 2025"
It's a voluminous omnibus comedy with acting, singing, and dancing!
Enjoy the world of nasty women to the fullest!
There are some places where you can even shout out! (laughs)
The performance period is short, but I hope you enjoy every moment of it.
●Sato Nobunaga
As the opening draws near, I'm feeling half excited and half nervous (laughs).
This was my first time cross-dressing properly, and honestly, it was incredibly difficult to take on the role of a woman, but it was an exciting month with many new discoveries. We all worked together through trial and error to create "Ego Woman," so please come and enjoy it at the theater!
●Konan Koji
When I heard about the role in "Egu Onna," I decided to take on the role because it seemed interesting to me as I would be able to try a style and role that I had never done before.
But rehearsals were really tough (laughs). Living, talking, and existing as a woman... I think it was one of the most difficult productions I've ever done.
Still, every day was a series of new discoveries, and I was very happy to be able to share the time with my colleagues.
And now it's finally starting. The girls are gross... but incredibly fun.
I would be happy if as many people as possible could enjoy it. I look forward to seeing you at the theater!
Kurita Kohei (OCTPATH)
This is Kurita! I can't contain my excitement now that the real thing is finally here!
This will be my first attempt at acting, but I think the scenery will stay with me for the rest of my life, so I'm looking forward to it! I hope it will be a production that will stay in the hearts of everyone who comes to see it :)
●Toru Isono
"Egujo" is finally about to begin.
I'm excited and nervous because this is my first time playing a female role.
During rehearsals, I spent every day thinking about what it means to be a woman, and I deepened my understanding by discussing it with my co-stars. There are plenty of funny scenes in the omnibus format during rehearsals, and I think it will be an exciting two hours, so I hope you enjoy it! I myself will cherish each and every performance, which is limited in number!
● Yusuke Makio (Kamomentaru)
All rehearsals are now over, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the audience reacts to the show! After a full month of rehearsals, the performers have become quite close. I want to give it my all for the three days.
The highlight is, of course, the many beautiful women! They are all so incredibly cute. I find myself getting excited by their cuteness while working with them. I'm sure you'll enjoy "Egujo 2025"! Look forward to it!
●Ryosuke Takei
After a difficult but enjoyable rehearsal period in which we imagined and created what women are like, even though we didn't understand them, I now feel like we're in the calm before the storm. This performance is like a storm that will end in the blink of an eye once it begins. I hope you enjoy it to the fullest.
●Takeshi Nadagi
The content is so good that it's a shame that the show is only being performed for such a short period of time, with only five performances over three days.
I hope you will enjoy the jam-packed world of nasty women, empathize with them, and have fun raising your emotional voltage.
I think the significance of this play lies in the fact that a man is playing a woman's world, and I think it's also interesting for each person to take in the humor, interest, depth and simplicity of this and relate it to themselves and their own circumstances.
Thank you!

■A play that will make you laugh out loud! ~Student Theater Report~
This is an omnibus work that you won't want to miss from start to finish.
In particular, the scene where the woman in the loop and the woman compliment each other is one that I can relate to, as I thought, "Honestly, this is a scene I've seen many times!" There were many other realistic scenes as well. Egu Onna is not only realistic, but also has many other elements such as laughter, singing, and dancing.
I felt as if I was there, and there were some thrilling moments and some moments that made me laugh out loud.
And above all, the styling of the cast members is very beautiful and cute. They wear different costumes in each scene, so please pay attention to that as well.
Egujo is a work that teaches us about the difficulties and joys of living as a woman.
I think this is a work that can be enjoyed by both men and women.
There will also be a live broadcast, so please take this opportunity to watch.

Ever since the production of "Egujo 2025" was announced and visual photos began appearing on social media, I've been looking forward to the show's opening, even though I was confused by the contrast between the cast members, who usually have a stronger image of being "cool" than "cute."
It was an omnibus comedy performance, and my favorite piece was "Women Complimenting Each Other." The tempo of the dialogue, expressions, and movements of all the characters were so perfect that I couldn't contain my laughter. I don't know if such a group of "nasty" people could gather in the same place, but it was a story that made me wonder if conversations like this were taking place somewhere on Earth.
The songs that were played between each story covered everything from common things that girls of all ages experience to the latest trends, and the lyrics were funny. The actors' earnest singing and dancing made it even more entertaining, and I couldn't stop laughing.
My favorite girls are Yoko from "Onee-chan," Mizuki from "Hottokenai Onna," Megumi from "Best Friend 2," and Chihiro from "Trap Girl." Each of them has a different kind of "cuteness" and they're just too cute! That's what I thought while watching the play...! If they were real and I was asked if I'd want to be friends with them... I'd be a little stuck for an answer, though...
There is something interesting about the omnibus format of the performance, and by the end it all made so much sense that I wanted to say out loud, "So that's why it was in omnibus format!"
Why is it an omnibus format? Why does the last story end with a "clean toilet?" There are many hints laid out from the opening, so I hope you will pay close attention when watching! And I hope you all will find your favorite character too!!!
It was a work that was filled with laughs, and it was a shame that it was only performed for three days! I sincerely hope that the final performance will be complete without anyone missing!
