41st Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2025 AUTUMN/WINTER ~Sakurai Yui~

The 41st Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2025 AUTUMN/WINTER was held at Saitama Super Arena on Saturday, September 6th, 2025.
The theme for this year's event is "BEYOND TOGETHER." Now that it has reached its 20th anniversary, TGC is embarking on the "next 20 years" of making a new impact on society through co-creation.
With autumn approaching, Mynavi TGC 2025 A/W featured a diverse and impressive lineup of performers, and we spoke to Sakurai Yui of the idol group FRUITS ZIPPER.

■What I felt on the TGC stage

Yui Sakurai, a member of the group FRUITS ZIPPER, made her first solo appearance on the stage at Mynavi TGC 2025 A/W. Regarding her first TGC appearance, Sakurai expressed her gratitude, saying, "Everyone at TGC welcomed me so warmly, and it made me feel reassured." The pure white costume, which is also the group's color, gave her a sense of security, like a talisman that told her she was "not alone," as she stood on the solo stage.

■ Believe in what those around you say: "You can do it if you try"

Sakurai's solo debut was a big challenge. When the topic of her debut first came up, she was at the lowest point of her life and had lost all confidence. However, she has been able to make it this far, believing that the members and those around her have been encouraging and supporting her. Sakurai says that being an idol is a job that has made more people laugh than any other job she has ever had. She hopes to continue making many people smile through her stage presence.

■To university students pursuing their dreams

Sakurai delivered a powerful message to the younger generation working hard towards their dreams, saying, "Not everything is in vain." Sakurai said that when he was a teenager, he thought that if he worked hard, everything would go well, but he realized that this was not actually the case. He said that although things may not go well or he may feel depressed, everything he experiences will become an important experience for him. He went on to say, "You definitely have your own pace," encouraging them to be proud of themselves for working hard, and concluded by saying, "Imagine a bright future and do your best now."
