Model Miro in the movie "White Flower Fruit"
I will pave my own path as a model

Model Miro
■ Profile
Born in Tokyo in 2008. After being scouted, she made her debut and has appeared in numerous commercials, including Suntory Tennensui Sparkling Lemon, as well as popular music videos such as BUMP OF CHICKEN's "Gravity" and ASIAN KUNGFU GENERATION's "Hoshi no Yoru, Hikari no Machi (feat. Rachel & OMSB)." Her fresh acting and unique presence have garnered attention. She has appeared in numerous magazines and advertisements as a model. This film, "Shiro no Hana Mi," marks her first film appearance and first leading role.
At the age of 12, she appeared in a commercial for Suntory Natural Mineral Water "Sparkling Lemon." This work became a big hit, and Miro has since achieved a wide range of work, including magazines, advertisements, commercials, and music videos.White flowers and fruitsThis time, we spoke to him about his work and the highlights of the film.
When I was in elementary school, I didn't have any specific dreams or things I wanted to do. I'm not good at being in front of people and I get nervous easily, so I wasn't particularly interested in the entertainment industry. However, I was scouted, which led to me entering the industry, and I started working full-time in the sixth grade of elementary school. My first commercial was filmed in Hokkaido, so my first time on a plane is a fond memory.
■ Feelings about work
What I enjoy about this job is that I get to wear clothes and makeup that I wouldn't normally be able to wear. There is a sense of accomplishment in the job, but that sense of accomplishment differs depending on the field of work. Magazines are released immediately after the shoot, but movies are released after about a year. The preparation period for this movie, "White Flower Fruit," was particularly long, with about six months until filming began. I spent a lot of time practicing the dance, so when I saw the finished scenes on video, I thought, "I'm glad I worked hard," and felt a sense of accomplishment and worthwhile work.
■Movie 『White flowers and fruitsThe joy and anxiety I felt in
When I was chosen to play the lead role in the film, I felt both happy and anxious because I had always felt uncomfortable acting. I wondered if I could do it, but I also thought, "I wonder if I can do it," "But if I'm going to do it, I want to do my best," and "I want to work hard, but I'm not sure if I can do it." Since everything about acting was a first-time experience for me, the first thing I focused on was preparing for the role. In preparing for the role, I sought commonalities with Anna and her inner struggles, striving to become as close as possible to her. I really empathized with the part of her character that constantly harbors worries and conflicts within. While I could relate to some aspects of portraying someone else's life, there were also some parts that were difficult to understand. Since my character was initially distant from Shiori, played by Anji Ikebata, it was difficult to create an intimate atmosphere during filming. When Rika's "soul" emerged from the diary and entered Anna's mind, I observed the behavior of Rika, played by Nijiko Aoto, and tried to imitate her.
Another thing that made an impression on me was the dancing. I had no dance experience before, so I started with dance lessons. It was very difficult, but looking back, it was a fun time. Other difficulties included filming overnight and it raining while we were shooting a lake scene. There were times when I felt down, but I was able to maintain my motivation thanks to the body cream my manager gave me as a gift, as I love fragrances. Although there were many difficulties, I worked hard with the thought, "I hope this film will be a good one."
■Movie 『White flowers and fruitsThe highlight of "The Secret Life of a Woman" is its delicate psychological portrayal.
I think the highlight of the film is how it delicately depicts worries, conflicts, and emotional changes. The scene at the lake where he dances with Shiori during dance class is captivating, so I highly recommend watching it. Through this work, I also participated in a film festival for the first time. I was invited to the San Sebastian International Film Festival at the end of September, and it was my first time overseas, so I was so nervous I can't remember. Through this film, I learned the importance of facing yourself, and I would be happy if viewers feel the same way.
■About future work
I still don't have much experience, but I'd like to try a variety of different jobs. Through this movie, I was able to realize that acting, which I had previously felt was difficult, was fun. There are some difficult parts, but I would like to try other roles in the future.
■Message to university students
"White flowers and fruits" is a work that depicts the worries and conflicts that are unique to young people. The beautiful scenery and costumes are also very appealing, so I hope you will watch it.
