41st Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2025 AUTUMN/WINTER ~Arashi Rina~

The 41st Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2025 AUTUMN/WINTER was held at Saitama Super Arena on Saturday, September 6th, 2025.
The theme for this year's event is "BEYOND TOGETHER." Now that it has reached its 20th anniversary, TGC is embarking on the "next 20 years" of making a new impact on society through co-creation.
With autumn approaching, we spoke to actress Arashi Rina, one of the many stellar performers at Mynavi TGC 2025 A/W.

■My origins as a model

I've had the opportunity to perform at TGC several times, and it remains a place I long for, so I still get very nervous backstage every time. But the moment I step out onto the runway, a switch flips on and I'm filled with joy as I walk. I'm happy to be one of the voices driving excitement around fashion, and it reminds me once again that this is a place that reminds me of my roots as a model.
In preparation for my stage appearance, I focus on getting in shape so that I can walk the runway with confidence. It's not uncommon for my costume to change on the day, so I train my whole body so that I can think, "Even if I suddenly have to show my legs, it'll be fine!" This gives me peace of mind and also helps with my confidence.

■ Cherish the things that touch your heart at that time.

The costume I wore this time has a space theme, and I really like how everything, from the shoes to the tights, is unified.
Although it is a coat, when you button it up it has the volume of a dress, and it is gorgeous and makes me feel really good when I wear it.
In my everyday life, I value the balance between trends and my own individuality. I often incorporate my favorite color, blue, into my outfits, but I also have many other colors that I like, so I choose my clothes based on my mood that day or my intuition, or I decide on an item I want to incorporate, like a hat or bag, and then put together an outfit from there. I have so many things that I don't know what to do when someone asks me, "What do you like?", so I think it's important to incorporate new things while reflecting how I'm feeling at the time, rather than deciding that "I'll only wear this style," and to enjoy fashion.

■ The rewards of moving people's hearts

This is true for acting as well, but I think modeling is one of the professions that can move people's hearts. It's very rewarding when you can use fashion as a weapon to inspire and encourage others to think, "I want to wear that too." I sometimes feel pressure, but once it starts, I'm the type of person who thinks, "It's fun!" It's like a roller coaster ride where you get nervous before you get on, but once you're on it, it's fun. Even if you're scared before the performance, you get the hang of it with experience, and the audience's reactions give you strength.
I hope to continue to take on new challenges and broaden my horizons. In the drama "Chihayafuru: Meguri," I was inspired and learned a lot by acting with actors of the same generation. We talked about each other's hobbies and discussed our worries, and our bonds in real life, not just in the drama, deepened, which led to some natural improvisation scenes. I also had the opportunity to try my hand at voice acting for the first time. Expressing emotions with just my voice was very difficult and I struggled at times, which is different from regular acting, but I was happy that a new world had opened up within me, and I learned the joys of voice work, making it a valuable experience I will never forget.

■Message to university students

I'm also a current university student! It's not easy to balance work and study, but I've been attending classes in my spare time and, thanks to the support of those around me, I've been able to stay on track until now!
Even in the midst of busy days, there are many moments when the things you learn and the people you meet at university support you. I hope that you will not give up, but will also take breaks from time to time to enjoy your university life. Cherish the experiences you can only have at university, and let's work hard together to graduate!
