Born on June 16, 1995, in Tokyo. After leaving TV Tokyo in March 2023, she joined the production company "seju." In addition to her work as an announcer and talent, she has expanded her activities as an actress, appearing in dramas such as "I'm Being Manipulated by a Younger Virgin (Cherry Boy)" and "Love in Midsummer." ◆What kind of student life did you have?
During my university years, I made it a point to always try new things. My experience of studying abroad for a short period helped me overcome my hesitation in communicating my thoughts and dreams to others, and I was able to naturally talk about my goal of becoming a news announcer.
Also, although I was originally a shy person, I gradually developed the ability to interact with people through various part-time jobs and encounters.
◆What do you find rewarding about your work and what do you value?
After joining the television station as an announcer, I had the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of fields, including variety shows and sports, which was very fulfilling. However, at the same time, I also had a desire to try something new, and I decided that it would be better to do it sooner rather than later, so I left TV Tokyo.
Currently, I'm working on various projects, including acting, and I'm realizing the joy of creating works as part of a team, as well as the satisfaction of seeing my past experiences come in handy in other jobs. Feeling the presence of my fans close by is also a great source of motivation. The desire to meet the expectations of those who support me is what motivates me every day.
What I value most in my work is having a positive attitude rather than focusing on whether I'm suited for something or not. Because there are no right answers in this job, I try to move forward without dwelling too much on things. Also, since my job involves working with many different people, I make sure to choose my words carefully, considering how the other person will feel when interacting with them.
◆Please give us a message for the students.
I want to tell all students not to be afraid of failure and to take on challenges. Because you have a lot of free time during this period, I hope you will honestly confront what you want to do and move forward without fear of making choices different from others. There are no right answers in life. The choices you make and the experiences you have will surely lead to confidence in the future.
■After the interview
I was impressed by her bright smile while she was speaking. I learned a lot about Ms. Mori's beliefs about living in the entertainment industry and how she interacts with people, and it was a valuable experience.
